I really need to check out Oregon. I keep hearing great stuff about it. I think Graham Lear lives in Oregon too. |

That was way cool. Thx for posting.
Steve's one of my faves, and he's always developing new ideas. Definitely worth seeing every time he comes through town because I know he'll be doing some things I haven't seen him play before. Always building on top what he's done.
And maybe he has drum sets in every room of his house. I would if I could .gif) |

that was great...the ambience of the kitchen made for a great drum sound
SS seems to be channeling Tony a lot lately...

I'd love to see him play those Phonics again live.
It's nice to see what he's up to. Lord knows I can't do anything close to that.
I've known Steve for a number of years and it's been wonderful to see the growth all the way.
I'm not sure about the Black dots either, but it's interesting. Personally I'll take the first kit and sound over any of the others, but it's not my call now is it.
Thanks for posting that. I've got to go play now. _________________ Play on Drummer... JD |

that was nice of SS to record that and let everyone see his practice routine. didn't seem like much practice. it was more like maintenance. i guess that falls under the category of practice. it be nice to see him going for stuff. i guess at his age he's done with that. _________________ |

That's Steve's guest house in Oregon. He has a small apartment in NYC. He's not interested in recording very much, that's why he sold his studio. In a e mail he sent me, a few years back, he said he didn't miss his studio at all. _________________ |

I agree, I prefer the sound of his highly tuned Phonic kit over the SQ 2.
But Steve can make any kit sound great. _________________ |
