Re: Quarantine Chatty!

Hell yeah! Glad to know everything went fine with baby and mom. From now on, everything is going to be one hell of a ride, indeed, even the not so good stuff is just unbelievable. Congrats and just seize these moments, cause time flies :) Hey all! My son Theo was born four weeks ago tonight. He and ...

Re: Quarantine Chatty!

If there's one thing about my playing I've never been 100% happy with, it's my soloing. I guess it's partly because most of the time it serves a purpose. In a rock concert, it must have that "rock show" element, when doing clinics I feel like I'm doing it just to justify saying "music...

Re: Quarantine Chatty!

Thanks a lot, everyone. Everyone says exercise/sport does help, so I might get into training again and find a way to go back to playing basketball. Those things always helped, but pandemic really hit hard (even though I didn't get covid at all) and I've lost a lot of muscle mass. Still healthy, but ...

Re: Quarantine Chatty!

Life update: I've been partially offline for quite a few weeks now because I started to feel not entirely well. It seems anxiety finally kicked in, physical symptoms and all. I've been having this weird heart/breathing feeling without needing some "real" external detonating event, so I've ...

Any advice on the simplest, smallest and lightest clamp and L-rod thingy to get that done?

I use this one all the time:

Man, I totally destroyed that VHS tape from overplaying it.
Still use a good portion of the concepts from Power Drumming. Just great fundamental stuff.

He said this was an idea in 7, still in development. Live it was totally mind blowing. The hihat in 7 in particular caught me by surprise. The man never ceases to evolve.

Re: Recent double bass drum books?

This one is pretty great. Alfred sent me a copy and it's very well organized.

I don't know if it's available in your place, but I highly recommend this as a method for dexterity development, rather than a compilation of ideas.

Re: Quarantine Chatty!

HOD Family!! Well, the pandemic may have killed my teaching practice as well as a lot of gigs, but thankfully my old company in LA reached out to me and I'm freelancing remotely with them for a while, so it's nice to put on the post production/movie trailer hat on for a while. Sometimes change is g...

Re: Quarantine Chatty!

And about yesterday's fest. I think this post pretty much sums it all up. I'm sure google translate can do a good job here, 'cause I'm exhausted right now. It might seem like I didn't care much for the rest of the lineup, but pretty much everyone knows how much of a Virgil fanboy I am, so the last p...
