I did hear the Cajon Port at NAMM when it was still a prototype(2010 I think?) I wanted to buy it on the spot, but they weren't selling it. It sounded great!

It's going to sound odd, but after experimenting quite a bit with one, tightening the front head more than you think you should or normally want to, gives the best sound with the kickport. I tried normal tension, loose,really loose...and wasn't getting a full deep low end like I was hoping for(and h...

Not to take anything away from Gavin, because he is a monster of a player...but i think what makes this tune groove so hard is Laurence Cottle's ridiculous bass line.

This whole album was such a fresh approach to playing at the time. I picked up many useful things to add to my vocabulary from listening to Zach. Not many tracks on youtube from this album, but there isn't a bad one throughtout in my opinion.
