Re: Practice Pad = no Pad Hands

I've used a mouse mat for years that I nailed to a piece of wood and put in a snare basket, the 5mm neoprene style one with the blue or red surface, when Ingot it out at a Gary Chaffee masterclass about 15 years ago a lot of guys laughed at it, Gary said to me later that I obviously didn't have any ...

Re: Vinnie's new cymbals

I've got around 95 Zildjians and they are all good, no clunkers, but they have all been hand selected and in some cases with the older K brilliant crashes - played in (a lot with the 18 and 19) some are absolute magic, and I wouldn't give a lot of them up. Maybe when I'm no longer able to play in ab...

Re: 24" cymbal bag/case?

I use a seperate single space Pro racket bag with a cloth seperator to carry 3 or 4 rides and a standard 22" Pro Racket bag for the rest of my set-up, I will change rides on an open mic night if needed, sometimes a couple of crashes change too so I can do it all with two bags. I'd like a 24&quo...

Re: Gary Husband playing in the studio - iDrum Magazine

The Ride is probably an A Custom style prototype, it has the same look and wobble as a 22" Soundlab prototype I had and sold on, thinner than standard A Customs by a hair....These are the best videos I've seen of Gary's playing. I never "got" Gary until today. At last!
