Re: What heads are you currently using?
I'm not recommending them for people who plays high pitched Jazz kits. That's the reason I haven't used them in a while, but I still think I should give it a shot. I play a 12, 13 and 14 tom setup. My 12 is tuned REALLY tight/high, but my 13 is about medium and my 14 on the low side (so I get a nic...

Re: What heads are you currently using?
They've been altered a bit yeah! If you want the "old" Clear pinstripe, you can use the Coated Pinstripe, they haven't been altered, but they are coated, if you can live with that... Great Heads. I'm not recommending them for people who plays high pitched Jazz kits. But to that medium to l...

Re: What heads are you currently using?
Been trying alot of Heads throughout the Years. Actually I've come back to Pinstripes... I love them!
They got a sloppy Reputation. But I think when it comes to a sound that is good to work with and a sound the other musicians in the band loves. Pinstripe delivers!

Re: Cheer up HODers!
I think there have been alot of posts and discussions throughout the years that most was due to a fact of Frustration concerning the business. We've been Bashing Gospel Chops, Female Drummers with Vocal Abilities and so on.. But rarely personal harrasments or flame filled threads. They've are rarely...

Re: Building Vocabulary- time frame?
Cjbdrm nailed it. Also the fact that you've been playing a different instrument most of your life makes your approach playing drums different than a 14 year old teen youtubing licks and solo's 10 hours a day. I think it's a good thing. Be patient and Practice things you like to play! Some books can ...

Re: Paiste reintroduce 602 ( NAMM HOD'ers Trying those out?)
I'm a 100% Paiste guy. Having a full set-up of Traditionals. They are very expensive yes! But the best damn cymbals you can get our there... The thing I love about Paiste is their Customer Support. Some years ago I had some cracks in my old Trad 17 and 18" crashes. They were long overdue their ...
