Another Trad. Question

I know there's some traditional grip motherfuckers on this board so I'm seeking some advice as I don't live close to any trad. teachers... Do I want to be squeezing trad. with my thumb to "lock it in the pocket"? Or do i want to have my thumb more forward a la Steve Holmes?

I'm pretty sure that you're talking about the sound quality of the stream from the website. I've got pretty good speakers and there's no way they'd record something that shitty sounding!

Re: 32nd Note Gadd ripoff

Shit! I thought I was the first one to come up with the groups of fours with the single kick. Seriously, I may be musically sheltered but i 'd never heard anyone else do that before...as far as I'm aware. Seriously, this board can be a scary place with people you don't know that can play their asses...

Re: A Letter from Bob Moses to the Boston Phoenix (2001)

I guess what I meant by the "top" is the most widely respected and revered, not who has the most money. Having money in music sometimes has very little to do with skill or talent. Agreed Jeff Berlin is maybe not the best example of the other end of the spectrum but there are some players o...
