Re: Vinnie signs deal with Paiste.
I can't lie. I'll pay a little more attention to Paiste now. Yup. I've always had an interest in them. This in addition to reintroducing the 602s really provokes some interest... I had a deal with the for about 3-4 years but with 10 month wait for stock I returned back to my Zildjians, funny thing ...

Re: Vinnie signs deal with Paiste.
Yeah was waiting for the news, watching some vids here and there of recent youtube clips where the finish of he cymbals and over all tone had the trademark signatures of Paiste.

Re: Vinnie no longer with Zildjian?
There is no logo on the underside of those cymbals in the Sting slip and from the sound and overtones they do sound like Paist cymbals. I was endorsed with them briefly but due to stock issues a few years ago I went back to Zildjian with no deal in place. I think Paiste make some astounding cymbals ...

Re: Stand By Your Stick!!
It's always interesting to see what sticks we love to use and why, for me I have been on bit of a "seek and you shall find" with sticks. Recently I moved from the Vater Fussion wood tip hickory model to the maple model. The hickory started to feel a little to me so I felt the change is nee...

Re: Left side chinas?
I use a 20" Oriental Classic or standard trash on the left and love to just glance it, rarely hitting it hard, sometimes using it for offbeat eigths(LH) in a pattern(still left handing the snare) I learnt a lot from the way Vinnie doesn't just smack it, sometimes I go to a 19K or even a 14K, I...

Re: Left side chinas?
Interesting question and some great answers.... I have seen Vinnie play only a few times and had the chance to chat to him about his set up and the kind of car he drives but back on the topic at hand. I have used a 20" Oriental china on my left for a few years now and it has become a stable mat...

Re: Anyone here tried this bass drum lift?
It looks ok, the test they have done doesn't make me want to google the site and order one..... I don't think the slightly intoxicated punters (crowd) would notice the difference at any gig I do..... then again is there is always 1. Notice how he went in to the description of the bass drum construct...
