Yes this is interesting, and I think it alludes back to that Vinnie interview where he was questioning the type of player who performs these 'complex' and 'well rehearsed' parts in clinics but are not able to effectively use these ides or themes in the moment. It should be between Virgil and Mangini, but what is Roddy doing in the list, as far as i know DT don't have many sections with double bass singles at 280bpm

This is great stuff, thanks. I was thinking more about album recommendations, for students to play along to and start to understand the feel of different player's interpretations of the ride cymbal beat.
