We should all use heating pads and stretching tools to get limber more than just playing on a pad.
Using both is way more efficient and allows you to start the show correctly.

Re: Mr. Gadd
Whenever I've seen a US Armed Forces band, they've had really killer players, and in particular on the drums.

Thank you beat!
Haven't seen this solo before, it's from when Smith was still hitting hard and with some intensity.

Re: 2023 Chatty!
Thank you for watching Rodge! Much appreciated!! I reached out to an Elton tribute to see if they needed a sub who can slide in without rehearsal. He says sure, then asks if I know any Garth Brooks, I said I know one song, barely. Friends in Low Places. I start learning some tunes, and actually liki...

Re: 2023 Chatty!
Well, here's a vid from this past show, playing Garth. Guitarist on this gig was also from Toronto, and was a helluva player. Really enjoyed that. I was asked to do a short solo before the gig, so just did a brief one in the second set that would hopefully keep the crowd happy. My hands and arms at ...

Re: 2023 Chatty!
These 1980 Jeff Beck shows with a 23 year old Simon are crazy. He doesn't sound 23 at all, it's like he had his vibe, power and sound from birth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bx3wiZCp7hY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVrFFiK7JfU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKI8oqrXow8 I'm playing a sold-out sh...

Re: Jeff Beck RIP
Don't forget Tony Thunder Smith, he was in the Beck/Hammer group, and a great player.
And Keith Moon, there's a great story about that.
This is positively incredible. 1980!

Re: 2023 Chatty!
I'm getting some gigs coming in, Garth and Shania tributes. Hopefully this continues, these are well paid and fun, a bit of stress as no rehearsal and different folks from Canada and the US, and big crowds. I guess I'm a tribute band drummer: Pink Floyd - a couple different ones Grateful Dead - a co...

Re: Assorted videos / YouTube thread
I remember talking to someone about Brechtlein. He took lessons from him and said he was a super taskmaster, beyond most teachers. I think that's correct. He is on fire every vid I see.

Re: DINO DANELLI.....R.I.P.
He had some amazing coordination and added some east coast power and attitude to those grooves.
