Re: Hi, again, all! :-)

Welcome back Pete! You gave me some amazing advice when I started playing Latin music that has been and continues to be indispensable to me. You are the man brother! Welcome home.

Stellar. Absolutely stellar. You have outdone yourself once again (although I am not surprised that it is as superb as it is).

Re: Practice Pad = no Pad Hands

I've been using the Promark X-Pad, and I really like it. I often put a dishtowel over it to take some of the rebound away, but to my hands it doesn't feel as "bouncy" as some pads can be. Great pad.

Re: Signature Empyrean Snare Drum

Absolutely stunning. If I had the money to drop on that drum, I most certainly would. A total work of art, and one of the most beautiful drums I've ever laid eyes on (and these are only the pictures! I can only IMAGINE what that thing looks - and sound - like in person). A truly beautiful instrument.

Re: cheap drums with a great sound

I've been using a Gretsch Catalina Birch kit for several years now, and with great heads and the right tuning, the thing sounds awesome. It treats me well gig after gig, and I have absolutely no complaints about it.
