Honestly, Tony Royster Jr. is a good drummer, but I could really care less at watching him play a drum solo.
I'd rather see Aaron Spears do that type of thing them him.
I wonder if Vinnie was asked and declined...

What's there not to like, when he starts to groove a few mins in, if you keep singing the melody you can hear exactly where he is going with this. I would say performing a solo like this is far harder than somersaulting onto the drum stool, playing quads as fast as you can then standing up and play...

Pick up Double Booked by Robert Glasper... you get chris on some jazz on the trio tracks and them him going nuts on the experiment tracks. This album lived in my car for like 2 months when I first picked it up. It's fresh, unique and good and that's something that is hard to achieve.

To me, it sounds a little more pure 32nds than just alternating accent filled in with doubles. Might be some paradiddlediddles in there.
