Skill level, sure. I hope to get there some day.
As far as sounding like Vinnie....... What's the point? Vinnie is just expressing himself, which is the main point anyway, and we're all different.

Re: Tommy Igoe moves to Yamaha
I paid $450 for my G. Way The Studio. In the company of Longos and Bradys that's quite inexpensive.

Re: Tommy Igoe moves to Yamaha
Lots of pics on the net of Vinnie, with Longo, G Way, Brady, Ayotte, Supraphonics and pretty much the whole line of metal drums from Gretsch in addition to his white signature snare. Never seen one with the Millennium snare, though. I'm sure he's got tons more. On the Jeff Lashway album the silver s...

Re: Cheer up HODers!
I grew up where these guys are from and attended several summerschools where they were the instructors as a kid. Their attitude towards music is one I can relate to. In just two weeks they will come and play where I live now and their new drummer is a dear childhood friend of mine. [youtube]http://w...

I always practice in a musical way and slow things down to where I can really hear it, feel it and unders...

Makes sense for a drum company, possibly a drum tech, but not for one musician.

Re: My 10th year on HOD
I'm very new. I did hang on the old site for a while without being able to sign up, though. To me Vinnie is better today than he ever was. As a guitar player first and foremost he played on a bunch on my favourite records in the 80's, but at some point in the late 90's something happened both with h...

Maybe Vinnie just quit smoking or something.
