Re: New kit with a 5 month wait for now non-standard sizes.

Well after a couple of set backs and of course one major one being my editing PC crapping out I wasn't prepared to build another PC just for video..... So bought this, let the games and headaches begin.....has 16 gig of ram so should get the job done. What ever happened to your video-comparo shooto...

Re: Your Latest Fav Piece-a-Gear?

After all these years I have always wanted to be "THAT GUY" with an odd size tom, made a call to Yamaha and was able to grab a 15 x 13 mounted RC floor tom..... Freaking love it..... http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x183/richiejarvis/Drums/ScreenShot2014-06-07at111911pm_zps9fc441bb.png

Re: BIG hi-hats

Hey Will, Before I made the switch to Paiste I was using the K 16" Light Hats and dug them very much, still do and still use them when needed. Steve Jordan uses 2 17" crashes for his hats and to me that's a little too big but they do sound amazing. Might be one of the things you might need...

Re: Advice needed: Yamaha vs Ludwig

I would go the Yammy, as Steve said they are very easy to tune. I like the overall look and sound of the Luddy but Yamaha just has that certain sound that no other drum can replicate.

Re: Remo Coated Ambassador X

I am now and I and after many years using coated A's again, the coating has lasted a few weeks now but I do remember even on coated emps the coating would come off after 1-2 gigs.

Re: Russ Miller leaves Yamaha- Yamaha moving to China?

No one will know the truth behind his decision,it's just one of those things. I was playing one brand of cymbals for over 2 decades and was handed some Paiste gear and fell in love with them.... Bought a stank and then got a deal. Maybe one day the truth may be told or it might just be a simple chan...

Re: Lombardo gets the boot.

Freese pulls out and finished up with A Perfect Circle and it just started the ball rolling. Huh? What? Freese was going to do the Slayer dates or Slayer and APC were touring together? What does Freese have to do with this? Freese was to come here with APC, Freese finished up with the band a while ...
