Re: 2023 Chatty!

Sorry about the gigantic pics. I've had these for many years. I love them to bits...but there's an achilles' heel in the heel. The small screw just loosened over time and I didn't know it until it wasn't connected any longer. I'm going to loctite that screw, and get a welder try to weld that togethe...

Re: 2023 Chatty!

Played a gig the other day near Cleveland. just putting our a warning to anyone using Pearl pedals and not checking them before every gig. This happened in the middle of a Shania tune in front of 5-6000 people. I'd never played the tune, not with this singer, never played to tracks live, or with in-...

Re: Assorted videos / YouTube thread

Dave Holland played his sledgehammer beats on a lot of huge radio hits. A very consistent hard-hitter with a distinct sound using those Paistes. Was just talking about him with some musician friends, Dave Holland vs Les Binks and Simon in Ptiest, Scott Travis as well. I appreciate his driving that b...

Manu's groove is stronger than ever. Listen to that bass drum. Wow.

He rips a bit towards the end.

Re: Assorted videos / YouTube thread

Had a gig in Columbus OH over the weekend. Filled in for a semi-fallen comrade in a PF tribute out of Cleveland. He's doing much better now. Watch your heart health folks. Scary stuff, but he was in the right place for it, there was an experienced EMT on the crew that brought him back and a great ca...

Re: USA Tour (May - September 2023)

If you're in the D I can recommend good places to get either world-famous coney dogs, not sure if I'd eat those before playing, or Detroit-style pizza.

Re: Ralph Humphey

Diving down the rabbit hole. He had a great sound to his toms, the whole kit, and super clean technique. Wow. Fast powerful hands. I think he's under appreciated for what Yellow Snow did, popular song that got played every winter, with some killer drumming. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9q0gZc4FW14

Re: Assorted videos / YouTube thread

The news of Ralph's demise is a bit premature, apparently.
