Re: Big Weckl announcement?
Anybody here who hasn't pledged at least the minimum (15$?) should get off their ass and pony up. Dave is one of the premier drummers of our time, and he's put a smile on our faces many times through the years. Come on people, step up to the plate.

I'm jealous. That is an amazing ride. I'll probably have to get one eventually.

Re: Vinnie out with 60 year-old bass player
A lot of guys switch from A's to Paiste and end up having to go up in size with the P's to try and get the same tone and projection... That makes absolutely no sense at all. If someone prefers the tone and "projection" of Zildjian's A Customs, why would they bother switching to Paiste? I'...

You may not dig the 602s, but calling them a regression in quality is crazy. That whole line is insanely musical.

True. If you want to tap into the crowd funding approach, you need to be a bit of a social media whore, which Dave most definitely is not (thank God).

Re: Cindy on Dennis's drums....
Dennis is an amazing musician, but I've never been fond of his sound. Even when I heard him live, from only a few feet away, I did not care for his drum or cymbal sound.

Re: Premier drums
I hear rumblings that Premier may reintroduce their beautiful one-piece high tension lug in 2013! Oh man, if they do that, as well as those sweet low profile die cast hoops, I'm picking up a set pronto! My favorite drums of all time!

Re: Big Weckl announcement?
They're at 55% of the goal, with 759 pledges. If everyone pledged the minimum (I think I pledged $100) that would mean the goal is around $20,000. I'm sure people pledged more than the minimum, so I would guess the goal is between $35,000 and $50,000. With one week left, it could be tough.
