Thanks for the link. I love Inside Musicast. Cool interview. Also, great story Rob. Steve Khan strikes me as that kind of guy.
Anyone who hires Anthony Jackson on a regular basis is ok in my book!!
Any interest out there in a transcription of Weckl's solo in Mama Chola?

Re: John "JR" Robinson on MD cover
I just went to read the article and saw that MD used my Style & Analysis piece in conjunction. Yay! JR is one of my heroes. I wrote that piece after seeing him do a clinic a while back at Interstate music. I'll never forget that. He's a great guy as well. Got to hang a bit with him. Very funny a...

There was another interview with Gene Lake in another issue that I liked a lot as well. I'm glad to see Jojo getting the recognit...

Re: John Riley bustin'
Terry, I also forgot to mention in my previous post, that John is also a MASTER transcriber. Check out those transcription books of Simon’s first two DCI videos (amongst others.) John transcribed it all. Hey Mark, Great posts and insights! Yes, I had a lot of those Manhattan Music books he did. In ...

Re: John Riley bustin'
Yeah man. Beautiful playing. It's cool to hear him in this type of context, Have you all checked out the interview in the latest Drumhead mag? He basically landed the gig with Frank Zappa right after Vinnie split the first time!! Really interesting story. John is a really classy guy, and his playing...
