I agree.. I don't think Mike sends guys out to do that... I just thought he should know.. Not fair when some guys wants to bash other guys using your name as cred indirectly.. Not much he can do....

To Julian.. I'm using Neuman Km 84's as overheads, shure sm 57's on top and bottom snare, senheisser 421 on 10inch rack tom,akg 214's on 12 and 16 inch toms, neumann tlm 49's as room mics. studio projectsc4 hihat mic.. I don't even think used it...Audix d6 in front hole of kick, sehneissr 601 on ins...

Ya. I got the you're a Mike Johnston clone.. He's taken Linear drumming to a level no one else has from a fan of his.. Have I checked out his camps? People have flown in from around the world to see him..He's got a DW endorsement and his own sticks Blah blah stuff.. I deleted them and sent Mike a me...

Thanks Miki C... It probably has to do more with the gazillion dollars in mics and pres that I recorded it with than Moon gels.. haha I appreciate the compliments on the sound alot, I slaved long and hard to get the right stuff happening over the years.. Acoustically they definitely don't sound that...

Wow that vid was insane... For me I love his playing when there's no Clave being played.. As soon as the clave happens it's this annoying anvil to my head that pulls my attention, then there's a bunch of crazy stuff played over top that is unbelievably difficult to play, and full awesome props to hi...
