Re: Drum mic packs..
"Phase is a general term to describe polarity... Like beats in a bar describes 1/4 notes in 4/4.. "Beats" isn't a specific thing but it's been generalized over time so know what it means. If something is 180 degrees out of phase the polarity would be considered to be reversed.. In thi...

Re: Drum mic packs..
That's a 16 by 16 maple with zebra wood veneer.. Evans g2 coated on top.. and a clear g1 on bottom. tuned fairly low.. I'm lucky.. I can play any time as I have 10 to 15 feet between houses.. and one neighbor is a business.. I've got my windows stuffed with insulation etc.. Traffic is louder than my...

Re: Drum mic packs..
Thanks Guys.. It's my basement haha.. The ride is a 22 inch Extatic .. I think it's a heavy..Might be a medium.. It's pretty cool.. I have an obsession with floor toms.. In my head I want an open purer tone like the 10 and 12.. but at the same time the low end and pitch that I have.. To get the open...

Re: Drum mic packs..
Yup. not to mention some of the mics being out of phase.. but I think as mics they are ok.. Especially for 150 bucks.. I'll do a setup using regular mic stands.. I need to spend some time tuning my floor tom.. I was doing some tracks with super muffled 70's sounds.. Take off the towel and it sounds ...

Re: Drum mic packs..
Here's a review.... There are some issues.. but they are useable... For 150 buck Canadian.. a Good Deal.. but you need to be phase savvy and have better mic positions to get the best out of them..

Re: Drum mic packs..
I fully expect them to be crap.. You never know though...For me getting 5 drum mic mics clips in Canada .. the cheapest I could find was 20 bucks each.. So I get 5 mic clips and 7 mics for 150. I can't complain.. I'm sure I can find a use for something.. Even if it's for intentional lowfi garbage in...

Drum mic packs..
I ordered a set of these.. I need a few for live... This is probably a terrible idea.. But worth being a guinea pig for if it works out haha.. I'm not to savvy on the OEM manufacturing going on these days. I'm hoping that these are on the side mics from the same factory as some other cheap lines.. I...

Re: Home recording.
As far as hard drive speed.. you don't need ssd. Its cool.. but not necessary.. a 7200 rpm drive is fine. Unless you want to do video editing.. then ssd is a big help.. Ram helps for Vst instruments and visuals for editing but not for recording necessarily as it's reading off the hardrive alot.. Wha...

Re: Home recording.
It would depend on if you are doing full recordings.. or just cataloging ideas. Using any daw you can record as many tracks as you want..Just get a separate harddrive.. You should get one anyway to optimize things as a sing hard drive has trouble with keeping up with large track counts.. If you only...
