Re: DW 5000 single chain pedal

I've never felt much comfort when I've played DW pedals, but that could be because I've never owned and tinkered with one.

I am curious about these, however as I'm looking at double pedals again for some reason... Have you seen the heelless ones (not the longboard)?

Re: Jojo Mayer

Wow what an amazing accomplishment! A very impressive performance by JoJo and everyone there. Acoustically and sonically tricky to blend that drum kit with that orchestra in that venue - really nice job controlling his touch and overall output in that whole thing. So cool to see a drummer featured ...

Re: Quarantine Chatty!

HOD Family!! Well, the pandemic may have killed my teaching practice as well as a lot of gigs, but thankfully my old company in LA reached out to me and I'm freelancing remotely with them for a while, so it's nice to put on the post production/movie trailer hat on for a while. Sometimes change is go...

Omnitune I believe.

I recall seeing Simon at the Spud with a kit of those. They sounded great I just don't think they caught on.

Re: Ali Jackson thread

This notion of offense being taken from this dude stating his opinion is ridiculous. It's his opinion. Can he play what Vinnie plays? Who cares! Vinnie doesn't need a bunch of nerds to defend him. I'm with Steve on this one- you may not like what Ali said, but it's his words that he's putting out th...

Re: Official Virgil Donati thread

Virgil was off the rails yesterday in Italy. Always exploring, always taking chances. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqtwPdHvf0E That was killer. I know it's more his hands than the instrument, but he makes those DW's sound really good (which, for me I typically never associate DW drums with sound...

Re: Quarantine Chatty!

Glad there are good vibes in Philly, Willy. Have gigged in that city many moons ago. I know a few cats in NJ around the Cherry Hill area that will be in need of a drummer once the virus shit storm is under control. Hope you love humidity. I did a gig in Philly and packing up the truck with drums at...
