Re: Vinnie with Dom . . .

...and y'all wonder why people come and go here. I'll admit that I lurk from time to time, and appreciate when good discussion is had. But the discussion quickly becomes so hostile... ...that being said: I think we need to be thinking about what Vinnie says regarding the industry, what we're all sa...

Re: John Bonham appreciation thread

I was listening to an interview a week or so ago on the drummer's resource podcast with Rodney Howard and he was talking about how Bonham was a Zigaboo Modeliste fanatic. Not sure if this can be "verified" or not, but if it's true, that makes a ton of sense to me. It also just feels like a...

Re: iPad mounts

I just use a music stand to the left of my hi hat. Almost all of my fakebooks are in iBooks as well, so it kind of suits the purpose. Re: NAMM TOPIC OF MADNESS

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Nothing has changed with the American made shells. Same Keller made stuff, finished in South Carolina. I got the joke... and it's a fair shot, since I'd agree there's probably way too much marketing noise about drums today. It's just that DW's "corporate acquisition s...

They're being made by descendents of Vikings in Newfoundland now.

Somehow I knew I'd regret asking this question here.

[youtube_https:7g5s8smk]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qu7_iau8b7Q[/youtube_https:7g5s8smk] Does anybody know what the real deal is with Gretsch now? As in, is DW making their shells? I know Hal Leonard and DW recently came to an agreement on distribution rights, but is Gretsch still making the hi...

Cool breakdown of simple concepts and thinking in melodies and "shapes" versus patterns and exercises. The whole thing is available at PASIC's website but I haven't checked into it yet.
