Re: What are you practising?
I've been studying a lot of drum corps material, particularly "hybrid" rudiments, which are endless! (I'd name a few, but my street cred would go down pretty quick! :-) They are really ridiculous names!) I got hooked watching a now defunct Youtube channel called "Snare Drum TV." ...

Re: Jojo Mayer
That was REALLY good, but I agree with Morgenthaler: Nothing new under the sun! It did make me wonder, what I would consider to be "groundbreaking" or truly "innovative?" I'm not at all taking anything away from Jojo. He's tremendous.

Re: Gregg Bissonette
Gregg Bissonette is a tremendous player and a great ambassador for the drumming community. My only objection is his penchant for sticking the blushda into every song! He's guilty on that count alone in my book!

Excellent control and sound . . . I'd love to hear him play with a track or another musician. Keep studying with him.

Re: VINNIE - Vintage videos...OK or not vintage.
I honestly never tire of watching the footage from these years. Vinnie was in top form back in those days and the band was so tight with one another. Vinnie's energy pushing and pulling is simply masterful. I'm not sure what process goes into changing up song arrangements or adding players to the ba...

Re: I need your input
I echo the sentiments given thus far. The title of your vids might better be termed "Concepts" or "Drum Philosophy" as there is very little that a person can take away and actually practice, as with a lesson. There are certainly things that you said that ring true, but undercutti...

Re: Nicolas Viccaro
Once again, the amazing facility and execution of these concepts and ideas never gets old. The world keeps getting smaller thanks to the internet and the benefit to the drum community has been tremendous. 10-15 years ago, it's not likely that we would have access to these great up and comers.
