I was trying to get into this but the groove was dragging, therefore not feeling really good.
The combination of Jeff's raw and emotive playing and the polished virtuosity of the rest of the band always seemed a bit mismatched to my ears..

I attended one of John's drumclinics some years ago. He is a great drummer and has a very clear and calm way of explaining things. Seemed like a down to earth, friendly guy. I'd like to have lesson from him definitely.

Just watched it again.. He is composing on the spot, but every idea just flows beautifully and the execution is pure perfection with no drumwanking in sight. It's a freakin' one man symphony orchestra. Genius!
