Most successful styles on earth

Need a drummer for laying down some good alternative -funky (Long Beach)
I want to create a band. . . I AM serious, I want to perform in bars, and on stage. . . I have my own songs, but a band is about working together. I have songs that can be VERY successful. I KNOW HOW TO MANAGE A BAND!!!!!!!! not like most bands, who never will be successful. So I would need you as a drummer... I won't tell you how to play, you are the drummer. I just tell my ideas, but your opinion is what matters the most. . . I would right away concentrate on how to earn money, and raise ourselves out of the small band category. If you want to give it a try, send me a message! My facebook is David Kissh (with the Shoreline Village lighthouse in the background). I live in downtown Long Beach.
About the band... I have plans already, and I have chosen a style which is one of the most successful styles on earth.. And I think you know it too -- if something is working well, don't change it. So the type of music that I want to play is Red Hot Chili Peppers style (alternative rock, with some funk... and some metal). They are one of the most successful bands on Earth. You can contribute to the style, as long as we don't go too far from it. And I don't think that Chili Peppers could've succeeded with a female singer. My long term plans are bigger than remaining just a local band.

Thank You!

David K.

I'm voting for "Best Of Craigslist". So funny!

Sounds pretty focused to me.

However...will never work. American Idol is too significant a machine to produce a talent into a band setting.
Can be done, but not organic. To get the feel, vibe, and groove of the RHCPeps, you need to be tight as a unit
FIRST before playing a single note. Only the more seasoned vets can put together a band like this ala Chad's new
band.

Can be done however...done before.

Gone are the days of Tom Petty loading his van from Florida and traveling cross country w/the boys, paying the dues,
living the dream one hotel at a time.

No shortcuts...?

Whatever happened to the days of just playing and writing whatever came out naturally instead of picking a style and forcing what's played to be in that style? I think "the most successful bands ever" didnt follow preconceived notions and played what they felt. Maybe Im wrong. Chili Peppers, Police Dave Matthews, Grateful Dead, Korn, Black sabbath etc etc etc
