I agree, but good luck finding any contact information on there. And I emailed Lycos, but they won't reply, guaranteed.

I strongly agree with Paul and Lucas here!

It seems that there are two types of people.
-People that have (by choice) put their heart and soul into the creation of an artistic-creative-informational piece of work (music, print, video, educational tool, app, artistic work, etc) and had it copied and circulated to the masses without remuneration or permission.
and
-Ignorant people who don't care about this process and participate in, passively accept, and condone, it's existence, on any and all levels.

To the people that fall into the second category... I say keep it going, because soon no one (of any merit) will care enough to create anything worth stealing, sharing, posting (whatever you choose to call it) anyway. Also to those people in the second category, I BEG you to pour your heart and soul, serious time, real money, and life accumulated talents, into producing something (anything.) And then just happily give it away to the masses.

Is this life and death? No. But it's the world that I (and many here) live and make a living in. (Life.) And, I would imagine, many of you someday hope to become part of this world if it still exists. (Death.) Thankfully, some people still get really pissed off about this phenomena, because it affects us DIRECTLY!

Which I'll humbly admit, seems to be another aspect of the "modern" human condition: Don't object to something offensive until it directly affects you. I'll openly admit, that I am trying to correct that flaw in my own life.

But c'mon people, theft (by any name) is just wrong!

Ignorance, self centered egoism, greed, isolationism, whatever you call it....
It's all wrong,
MSG

PS. Remember when there were GREAT gigs to actually attend (instead of waiting to see on youtube,) high quality CD's and DVD's of high quality music, gigs that paid (even lesser known) musicians well, drum magazines, instructional videos, and world class musicians that were actually making a decent living playing creative music..... Remember when lots of people actually cared about music?

This one galls me too. It takes some backbone because it often requires shaking up a status quo that provides life support for the viewpoint. And that means you are likely to be ostracized by at least some of the participants if it's an online thing, and worse if it's real-world.
