Manu,
From what you described it sounds like the spring is too loose! Sometimes when we open these at the store, the spring tension seems "normal but after someone demos it we realize it is too loose.

Sometimes the retainer disk at the bottom of the spring slips into a looser position or the chain assembly at top was not seated correctly and eventually it settles into the proper location resulting in lower tension on the spring.

If you could take some pics I might be able to help you out!

The direct drive? Yeah, those felt nice at the store, but the pedals I use are the ones that come with a double chain. They include a strap with the pedal and I swapped out the chains for the straps.

The direct drive was nice, but I think it takes a while to get used to it. Very different from regular pedals, but smooth as hell! Apparently, some people feel that they lose a bit of power with direct drive pedals.

Hey this sounds like a probable cause, so what is the solution for this?, because I did tighten the spring tension but it didn't change much.

I think im just going to give it one more try really see if I can fix it on the weekend, otherwise i will send it back.
