I can definitely relate to not being able to make music professionally. Here in my area there's not a lot happening, especially for someone like me that doesn't drink or do drugs... and has considerable investment in both time and money into what I do. I haven't exactly given up on being professional in music, but it certainly won't get my bills done every month. Of course, I don't have any children or any real attachments at the moment that makes things a bit easier. Don't have any real world advice to give except don't give up on music.
