pretty much anyone could handle that gig. You can't even hear the drums on the first video at all. It's just such shitty sound, you gotta wonder why people go these concerts at all.

Yes, they were audible. Audible and the drums being an integral part of the sound is a totally different thing. Hearing smack smack smack isn't really music, or takes much skill at that point. It just has to be in time. No nuance. No groove. Heck, could be playing CB drums and it wouldn't make a difference. That's the point chief.
