drumnhands wrote:The problem is that everyone tends to customize the rack to fit their needs, so a "one size fits all" case or bag is such a crapshoot. No one pulls the clamps when they tear down and they all sit at different angles so pockets for the tubes doesn't work. How many T-legs do you account for, etc. I see the need for some kind of case but for a manufacturer to design and stock several different models and make it easy for the consumer to know which one to order......could make them too expensive to be practical. We'll have to see how this develops.

Thanks, Drumnhands. Makes sense. Too many variables when they're customized.

After a quick look, I found that there actually are a few that have come along since last I looked...

Here's mine: http://www.thomann.de/gb/stagg_stc48hw_ ... e_case.htm
If I remember well, I chose it long enough to fit the hex tubes.

I use a golf bag flight case - you can find them fairly cheap. Much cheaper then actual "hardware" cases. It fits my ICON rack with the clamps/tom mounts still on it, and the various boom arms.

However the rack only gets broken down to it's legs and horizontal bars with all arms/attachments most the time. I long ago gave up on caring about what the hardware looked like. It just goes into a touring case or the back of the truck(s).
