GAVIN HARRISON - The topic about The Creative Man
Re: GAVIN HARRISON - Showing some NEW material.
I know I've always sacrificed a preferable bead or thicker neck for the sake of finding a stick that's balanced towards the middle. A lot of the jazz sticks that I would love to use are on the light side or just generally balanced towards the back, IMO. For years I loved the ProMark 717s, but they're hard to find, and moving back to match made the length a bit too much to work with. Would be very interested in these sticks.
“Let's try some of my songs.” Dave Grohl, top sign drummer will be fired.

Nice....wonder if the neighbors dig this?
Gavin's home studio or another place?

The new album is great. I still like Circles a tad better. The first album is great also. Seeing these guys live would be a great experience. Can't catch any shows cause they are playing so far away. Record a DVD of one of the shows. Please! I love the music. The drumming is great. The phrasing ideas are very stimulating. Glad to see these guys doing some live dates. Love this rehearsal footage. Sounds like the record but with bass and guitar solos.
Would like to hear more Porcupine Tree music. Looks like that band is on a major hiatus. To the point of no more. Hope Mr. Wilson starts up that band again.
I love how new drummers come into the scene. Gavin gets a call to record In absentia and the rest is history with lots of history before PT.

I would LOVE to see this band. If you play in Canada make sure it's posted everywhere so we know.

I was so happy to shake Gavin's hand at the London drum show, I'm so in love with the drum sound and the ideas, I haven't heard a drummer that was so inspiring and made so much sense in such a long time, the new album is amazing, the older o5ric albums are incredible, I'm constantly playing them to people that might "get" them and showing them there is still innovation and intrigue out there that can move you.....Thanks Gavin for the most inspirational performances this decade as far as I'm concerned. I'm a bit drunk firing up the BBQ but man.... friday night, time to party!
