Hey guys,
Thanks for your feedback on the cheaper cymbals and snares. What about hardware (cymbal, snare stands, petals, etc.)? Are there companies that make good hardware that's not expensive?
Thanks very much for your help.

I think the Pacific stuff works well. I have a couple boom stands that didn't break the bank.
I decided about 15-20 years ago to go with Yamaha. I have stuff from different "eras" and from the 700-800 & 900 series. All of their stuff is very sturdy and has stood the test of time with virtually no problems. I can't say that about any of the other stuff I have. The Yamaha hardware will stay around as long as cockroaches and duct tape. Cost wise, I think it's somewhere in the middle.

Buy whatever Yamaha stuff you can afford.

What's your budget?.
Dixon, Network and PDP make some decent cheap hardware.
All companies make some lower cost items..
The difference in price is worth paying for..
But if you can't afford it..those will do to get you started..

I gotta throw in as well for Yamaha. Buy high end. If you use a rack, boom arms are only $30-40 bucks depending on size.
Quality hardware will outlast cheap hardware 10-100x more. I have decade old boom arms that have been on over 1,000 gigs and show no signs of wearing down.
Use a rack so I can't comment much on the bases. Tripods sure do cost a lot more though.
