"1:18 cool stuff for a good minute. WOW! what amazing footage!"

What hits you? Is it the technical, thinking, creativity, all of the above?
Years ago LA Danny commented on the same passage.
I hear it, but do not get moved like others so curious what I seem to be missing.

What hits me is when David Garfield goes can we go over the tune and Vinnie goes sure! This footage is a gem. He kills it. Vinnie was practicing going around the toms before Garfield asked if they could go over the tune. He plays the fill in the solo. Vinnie didn't get the fill when he was fucking around with the fill but killed it during his solo.

I know y'all have seen this 100 times before, but I still can't get over this fill:

Two seconds of "where the HELL did you pull that one from, Vinnie?!"

Knowing him, he just improvised that shit on the fly, haha.

Stuff we mostly know, but an article on Vinnie none the less.

LOL Allen...THAT was the LA DANNY fill he mentioned years ago!

Whoever wrote that article (above) this was odd to me;
"... and as you’d probably guess from his Christian name and surname was brought up a Catholic."

Where did that come from? Had no context afterwards...brought up Catholic and...? lol

I thought Bob Henritt was a respected music journalist, that's a terrible article!

Catholiuta?!?

I didn't catch that.

Pointless rehash of an article with plenty of mistakes and strange conclusions.

My only question to it is really; WHY????
