Vinnie w/Herbie & Christian McBride...just WOW!!! Where and how does Vinnie come up with this stuff? Unbelievable artistry!!
Look how Herbie & Chrsitian are really digging what Vinnie's playing.

Wow, that was entertaining. This one might not stay up long. I thought it was going to be an intense section of playing.

I didn’t listen to what led into that, so was it more about what he went through to go see the players he was inspired by back in the day and not receiving detailed information from them? Or was it more about guys today having so much more access to that information from players willing to share it and they’re lazy with the information or about asking for it?

Maybe listening to the entire thing will provide the context.

Someone in the audience being distracting and ruining it for everybody.

Probably well founded.

1993, not internet.
So I guess it was about to figure out yourself with your ears and imagination, what your favourite musicians were playing without asking them. So maybe he said to the audience, ask me anything, I'm willing to share, back in the days, legendary musicians would not doing it.
It's what I understand.

Thanks Steve, great stuff, I wish I could see it in video, my boy was so crazy/wild back in the day, so sensitive, eccentric and funny. :-)
