I really enjoy hearing Keith play. He's always spot on.
He's a nice guy. He thoroughly answered a question the other day (via Zildjian FB) regarding the tuning and set up of his 6.5" auxiliary snare.

He has the wrong shampoo, sweats to much and sleeps to little?
Tell him that when you meet him......

That's a mischaracterization of my post. I didn't say I didn't like his playing. The fact is, he looks like a wreck. My PS did imply that his playing on these solo videos jumped the shark a few years ago, which I think is a fair observation.

Hi Henry II,
If it's any consalation your post about the dark marks and greasy bangs really made me laugh because i felt the same ...
His playing on many videos seems as though he's using a familiar vamp and even familiar riffs/fills to groove on.
Love Keith though ... every note

But he's really not a genius.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

He uses his fingers a lot and I'm terrible at using my fingers, maybe that's why I can't get into it. I will say that I like his playing more with the bigger stick that he's using now.

That snare sound makes me wet... Absolutely fantabulous! Gotta get into Carlock. Anyone can recommend three best albums with his playing? Will get them right away!
