Another Nightmare Gig From Hell-- Book

Postby littlegrooves » Fri Feb 10, 2012 6:09 pm

A buddy of mine who is in a local working band apparently developed a hobby of writing some essays regarding some of his weirdest/wildest gigs; well, it turns out that one of them got published in a book that is essentially a collection of stories that we all have been (un)lucky enough to have been a part of.

Perhaps musicians should start supplementing their income by selling their gig stories (t.v. sitcom/reality show anyone?). Anyways, hopefully some of the proceeds from this collection of essays gets kicked back to the hardworking peeps whose stories comprise this book.

Here's a shameless plug hoping that is the case!

My buddy has a website that allows people to submit these type of stories:
http://www.giganecdotes.com/
There's some gold on there.

This is great...

My chapter would start out like;
We finally got set-up and started the first tune. It was an outdoor festival with folks walking around.
About 6 bars into the first song the guitarist stops and says, "Let's start over...I didn't like that one."
I looked for my shotgun! :evil:

It's a decent read. You can use Kindle Reader for Mac or Windows on your computer (roughly an 80 MB DL)--no Kindle required.
