This is my new favorite stuff:
This is very experimental and fresh- improv funk. The more I hear Chris Dave the more I like him. I have been a fan of Foley for some time. He was in Miles group from 87 until Miles died. He played 'lead bass.' There was usually another bass player, like Daryl Jones in 87, and Foley would take a bass and tune it way up and play it like a guitar. Foley has always been very experimental and forward looking so I like the fact that he works with Chris Dave who is also very progressive minded in his expression.

Re: Chris Dave and Foley
. . . well I see I missed the recent Chris Dave thread and 1 of these videos was already posted . . . my bad. I actually came to these videos following Foley links until, to my great surprise, I stumbled on Chris Dave with Foley.
FWIW, Foley is a great drummer in his own right with a funky pocket as deep as anyone. Here he is with George Clinton:

Foley RULES! He makes a high vis jacket look hip too.

The stuff he was playing with Foley is completely nuts. Thanks for sharing!
