It's good when the phone rings, because Friday I get to play with saxophonist Lionel Lyles, bassist Mitchell Coates, and keyboardist Aaron Hill at Granny’s, 10300 Mill Run Circle, Owings Mills, MD 21117, from 6-10:30.

Music will be of the electric jazz/instrumental R&B persuasion.

There is no cover, and the food is superb.
