I saw both sets Saturday 3/25 in Schenectady, NY. Small club...very, very close. Spoke with Allan a bit before the show in a pub a few hundred yards away and he was kind enough to sign my "Road Games" album which I've had since day 1. He was very polite, tired & weary. Largely unrecognized by the public

All in all it was a great experience. Allan was Allan doing his thing and he sounded great. Haslip was my favorite for the evening...very impressive - he friggin killed it. It was my first experience with Virgil. Technically, of course he was very good. He was a very heavy hitter and there was little in the way of dynamics...just driving all night. Completely different than say the "finesse" of someone like Steve Smith etc. Drums and sabiens were so so in terms of sound. 2 hi end over heads, B-52 on kick and the rest sm-57's everywhere....A hard, loud gig is what it was. They had some beautiful moments....I would have preferred Husband or Wackerman....They also didn't change up the two sets very much at all....

Marbin opened for them...excellent saprano sax player...they are in some ways connected w/ Paul Wertico..over all didn't do much for me...

Lots of good playing but bad sounding clips there, Amoergosum.

This one has a better sound for my taste:

I have a show with the Pink Floyd tribute the same night they do in Detroit right up the street.

Hope we don't step on their turnout!
