It's like Porcaro, intentionality and giving to the music confidence.

Anthony Jackson is like that too, same groove...confident and calm.

This blew my goddamn mind...I never knew he played such ferocious shit until I heard this. Whole album is amazing.

Love his taste on this tune.

I took a lesson from a guy named Jerry Maruka (sp) at West Virginia Univ when I was 17, I knew nothing of Gadd but that a lot of people like to pretend they were him, and used his black sticks.

He played me Fifty Ways, and the open hi hat ride beat...I didn't care too much for it.

I guess information flowed much slower in 1985.

That is freaking Gold Jerry!

Love at 26min he talks about Rick Marotta.

His time is so crazy. No wavering at all.

Lenore is such vintage Gadd...as signature as it gets imo. Never overplays
and his use space within rudimentary phrasing is just so musical. I always
go back his work with Tom Scott

Best TV theme ever?

This guy overdubbed some keyboards over Steve´s solo playing... GREAT! His sense of timing, structure and musicality is uncanny.
