Easily, $7,000,000. I think they live in castles too. And fly their own jet planes. I've heard that Weckl tours with his own chef, and Vinnie only eats off of china using real silverware and crystal goblets.

Someone mentioned Vinnie charging 2k per hour (with an 8 hours minimum).
It obviously depends in so many factors, but it makes sense to see that kind of numbers for player that caliber...
(Aronoff is charging 1k per track on his session through his site, I think)

Those days are long gone. In the latest issue of the drummag "Slagwerkkrant" is an interview with Vinnie. His words "the music industry is the new Titanic" and "I do not encourage young people to go study drums at a Conservatory, it has become pointless. Just about anybody can record a cd now." and also "I'm blessed" in regards to his own working situation.

The touring Vinnie's been doing lately probably pays really well, but regarding a lot of the recording he's been doing the last few years I don't see how most of those artists could afford the speculated rates.
You can still make a living playing music, but the business model has changed and unless you're doing current pop music and get lucky being a great player isn't enough.
Many drummers probably make as much or even more money mixing and producing as they make from actual drumming. If you want to make money, you need a steady band with regular gigs, and around here, that means for the most part playing really crappy party music.
Here's an interview with Scott Henderson about the ne Tribal Tech album:

That was until he decided to don a Batman suit and pounce on Sting.
