You should make a pilrimage to L.A. to see him when he's off the road and playing a more fusiony gig...

i know,,, i wish i could... even with herbie in buffalo wasnt as crazy as i thought but still good got to meet him there and talk!

i go see sting in niagara falls this june with him at least i can hear the ludwigs and paistes live that UN concert sound was terrible...

I can appreciate the idea and your enthusiasm, but I don't think how Vinnie plays would be affected by an internet petition. =)

Yes, let's petition Vinnie, after all, he invites criticism of his playing
from people like us who have nothing better to do but think
they know best.

Of course, by all means, Vinnie should FORGET his musical growth
from the past 20 years and play like 'we' want him to play.

Why not? Who is 'he' to play in a way that we do not approve of.

His musical experiences since 1992 with Sting, Beck, Herbie, Patitucci,
Rizma, Chick, Waldman, his studio recordings and his legendary
live performances around the clubs of the world (and Baked Potato) are meaningless and therefore he should play once again in a style that does
not take advantage of all those musical experiences in order to please us,
who 'know better.'
