Not sure if this was posted before...
OTV Serious Young Insects was my first intro to Virg...
Back around 1999 I was into drum corp...Internet was
pretty new to me...I Googled drum corp drummers and
there was a post in a forum, maybe a sentence that said
there is this guy named Virgil Donati that has the drum corp
thing down and also plays great drumset...well, that led to
the search and found Serious Young Insects.
SYI's blew me away, not as a "drum" CD but musically a great
listen...for a month I had it on play. This led to sharing with
a friend and then seeing Virg was playing at The Baked Potato.
For a few years he played the Spud a lot...caught every show.
