^^^ Thank Virgil for all to see. Super thank you. My brother has been a huge fan of Alex Machacek for a bit. My brother plays guitar so he's turning me on to new guitar cats.

Yes, I am personally not one for Lucantoni, or any other obvious clones. I like that he's giving a shout out, though,
and I enjoy the heck out of Jonathan and Travis any time

:)

Greatest Prog Rock LP ever? YES
Tone, compositions, snare sound, feel...it's all here!
Planet X tried to cover some of these tunes...if I never
heard of Serious Young Insects it would be a good tune...
compared to this masterpiece, like eating a Hot Pocket
thinking it was a Thanksgiving meal.

Favorite tune off the album. drumming, performances and writing are amazing. listened to the album at least one or twice a month since it came out. drums are so in your face and sound great. would love to hear another album like this from Vigril.

"no. dont' dig the drum mix"

There ya go...you like apples I like oranges... (I'd at one time say, you like blondes I like brunettes
but the US is having a crisis of masculinity at the moment and context is lost)

Compared to the above tune, Red Air, OTV kills with that crackin' snare. During the Planet X Spud gigs,
Virg's snare was a shot gun, his toms sounded like cardboard boxes tho from my seat which was about
8 feet away...but that snare! Only Simon gets a crack like that. I must love crack.

Hang time,,,of course. Why would I not want to hang with a drummer who plays live outside
of his garage w/his band covering Steely Dan, makes his own home brew (if you don't u seem like a
guy that would like to), and you got 970 posts...there has to be some reward for that level of
commitment!

Someone put harmonies to one of Virgil's solos. I found it quite enjoyable!
