New drum lesson vid: 16th note triplet phrasing.

Postby Steve Holmes » Mon Jun 25, 2012 12:55 am

This was fun to make. I wish I had moved that Azuka out of the way so you could see the hat. Next time. Also the second camera angle is almost useless. Breaks up the flow nicely though. Anyways, enjoy..

Thanks Steve, great as usual! I really like your way of explaining how the ears are telling what the hands and feet should do, and not the
other way around.

thanks steve! toms sound amazing!

the one issue i have with this stuff is sustaining the foot-left hand-left hand thing. it's really weird, because if I substitute the foot with a right hand, i have no problem. is it a muscle memory thing?

Good stuff as always, Steve. Drums are sounding better and better each video- are you adding new recording gear or just getting a better grasp of it all?

Thanks a lot guys! I appreciate you checking it out.

Willy, I added hat mic a few months ago, that's it. Just getting a little better with basic mixing on GarageBand I suppose.
