Wayne Krantz Tour: Fall USA-Japan (with Keith Carlock and Nate Wood)
10/02/12 Seattle Jazz Alley United States
10/03/12 Seattle Jazz Alley United States
10/04/12 Santa Cruz Kuumbwajazz United States
10/07/12 San Francisco Yoshis United States
10/09/12 - 10/10/12 Los Angeles Catalinas Jazz United States
10/11/12 Chicago Martyrs United States

I think it's interesting that Nate Wood is touring on bass with Krantz and Carlock. Most people here probably know him as the drummer of Kneebody, and his playing is great and very intriguing with them. He did study drums and guitar at Cal Arts. I remember seeing some YT videos of him playing bass with one hand while simultaneously playing drums.

Nate is a monster, he is one of my favorite musicians as well.
His solo CDs are awesome, if you have time you should check
them out. Heis also the guitarist in the taylor hawkins band,
this guy is so versatile, almost like a swiss amy knife.

you can watch a great interview with nate here...

They sounded okay. The sound is never spectacular at that club. I was pretty close, so I was hearing them pretty much unadulterated. I don't really go for Keith's approach with the drums, but he was doing his thing. I don't like Wayne's whole concept either, so I won't be checking this band out ever again, that's for sure. All great musicians, but the end result is not for me.
