Yes Electronic Drums. It's part of drumming, whether you like it or not ! :)
And it's not about the type of drums... this is a site about drumming.
Tony is a great drummer...

And René, not musical... well, different strokes for different folks.
If you can take (or steal) just 30 seconds of what any drummer plays, like it or not, then it's a big plus for you.

This video is a Roland V-Drums demo/show at a festival. It takes a bit of everything to please an audience of 800 drummers... :)
Weckl, Carlock, Drumbassadors, Magella Cormier, Pedrito Martinez, all on the same day as Royster .

Roland V-Drums get better every year, but they still sound like toys to me. Not only that, but they're way too expensive.

The stuff with the click aroound 16 mins is cool..

Vdrums unfortunatley still sound gakky.. when too many fast hard notes are played.. It would be nice if they didn't put a million stupid sounds in the brain and focused on 2 or 3 killer kits with better dynamic range...

I would be so pissed off if I saw Tony or Thomas Lang or anyone else and they were on an ekit. It's hard to even listen to that.

Edit: I couldn't take it. I'll try again some other time.

They arent musical out of the box. Throw some weird samples on there, play it orchestrally.

Why not stretch them out. They can do some much than replicate drums.

Good playing from Tony. I need to hear simple grooves that are complex anymore to get a rise though.

So true. That's the last thing they should be used for. They shine when you go for the unique and bizarre.

Neil did some cool things this tour with his. I really dug it. He had a deep synth sample that sounded cool as hell.

And when he played them like a kit.

Well, i thought it sounded cheap and shitty.
