most drummers don't even know how to get the best sound out of them...but the vid sounds more like a crappy camera microphone issue...


It's getting past the video itself...cringe!

Enigmatic Ocean blew me away. I saw Journey at the LA Coliseum on one of those
weekend rock fests and SS's solo sent me into orbit...never heard anything like it
and asked...WHO IS THIS GUY which led to Ponty. Wore it out and was confused how this
could be the same guy in Journey.

That was a cool fill on Chain Reaction...never thought about it much until I saw him playing
it on the vid...creative. Loved SS from the Journey era.

Smith in Lubin is just smokin the blazing trail so hard it's ridiculous!
Now there's a dude with a cam that records good sound...those toms
were spot on. Smith like like watching a flowing river. His technique
is flawless, graceful, sensuous. He has aged very well.

I must have missed the memo. When did Tom Costner leave Vital Information? He was in the band for decades. It's no fun when there is no accordion.
