Songs identifiable by the drums

Postby Tombo 7/4 » Thu Mar 14, 2013 8:03 am

That Run to the hills groove gave me the idea for a thread on songs that you can hum the drum beat and everyboby will recognize.
There are not a lot of them and hats-off to the drummers who created these parts. From the top of my head:
Run to the hills
Sunday bloody sunday
We will rock you
Cum on feel the noize
Rock and roll
YYZ

...others?

That insipid Sharona thing by The Knack comes to mind. My apologies.

Come on guys, that list is endless, specialy for us drummers, but not only, I did some Blind Test on my Facebook page, and I was glad to see that just by the groove, the intro, or a breah, everybody know what son it is.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...

I't's not endless if we consider major popular hits that mere mortals know and not only drum gods like us 8-)
