Harold Brown: WAR drummer (Int possibility???)

Postby Pocketplayer » Thu Jul 25, 2013 9:35 am

I am sitting here, trying to download the Porcaro interviews from the other thread
and mention to the guy working on the house about this and he pauses, then says his
mom is dating the drummer from WAR, Harold Brown.

So I ask the HOD fam...is there interest in an audio interview here? I asked and
was told this could happen. If so, I don't have the equipment, but can probably get
something if you have suggestions.

If you have questions...let's hear em'....pretty significant band from the 70's

If you want to do it, do it. Who cares what everyone else thinks. Kinda like why I do music in the first place.. :D

hmmm, not sure where that came from. not a matter of who cares, but
that of sharing. I realize this forum is far to the side of a Dave Elitch
over a Harold Brown...but I think it is a matter of respect and
dignity...at least for me.

the man paid his dues, moved in his own direction, the music of WAR,
and was part of a significant band with commercial appeal.

in the end, it is simple...it is about story, be it a Jeff Porcaro vault audio
interview from 1988 by Robyn Flams or Mr Brown in his home now at an older age.

i like older films, mostly noir and always wanted to interview actors past their
prime, probably living in a condo in Woodland Hills, CA...alone...their performances
a thing of the past...just feels like an opportunity to say, "hey...your life mattered...
i'd like to listen to your story."

that's about it...
