Where do you get your albums?

The record shops are dying out. That's something I realised last year when I wanted to buy Bowie's new album, and I struggled to find ONE place in central London that still sold physical music.

But when it comes to ordering them, where do you guys do that, apart from Amazon? Specifically, I was looking for the new Melvins album, the latest Meshuggah, and Tomahawk, and the only place where I could find them together was Amazon. It's great that their offer is so broad but if one, out of idealistic reasons, wanted to support some other online music vendor which ones would it be? Can be genre-specific, specialising only in metal or jazz or whatever, but dealing in signed up artists, so something other than CD Baby.

Many thanks!

When I buy cd's it's mostly classical music. Most other, I purchase digitally, mainly on Rdio as access, and/or iTunes as downloads.

We have a huge classical cd/vinyl shop in Copenhagen, and a few decent jazz outlets as well. If I want to, I can, but I don't want to.
The classical stuff is only in the case I can't get it digitally. The era of units that holds 1 album is gone for me.

Why "something other than CD Baby"? They generally pay a larger percentage of sales to the artists than Amazon or iTunes.

Can't you purchase directly from the artists' own websites?
