Has anyone tried them out at NAMM this year? Seems like a cool idea. They sure sound great when Erskoman plays 'em. I'm curious to see what they would look like in their cases on plane rides as Dr. Erskine had mentioned.
$1200 street price is very reasonable. Wonder if there's a package that comes w/ all the light weight stands as well?

Drums sound OK....but ....here comes one of my ridiculous criticisms. That's about as uninspired set playing as I've seen...not to say it sounds bad. It sounds good. But dear me please light a fire for the love of God.

They're lovely drums!
Tried some out at DW just off the shelf, and they're fantastic...

He's playing down to our mortal level so we can appreciate how they're gonna sound when we play 'em.

Peter is Peter, legend, but that drums sounds crappy to me, nothing new with DW.
I come from Tain, Vinnie, Omar, Jeff, Fish, Stewart, and many more...
Re: DW Frequent Flyer Series
Loved Peter's playing. Mr. musical. The drums are a huge no UGE miss. I don't get it. Drums sound dead. The tone dies the second you hit the toms. Tuning might be the issue here. Maybe not. I guess you need to get a hold of the drums personally to tune them to your liking. I'm sure the people at DW are great to work with. Artists love the relationship. Don, Chris and John seem like super cool people. I like the pedals.

Agreed. The little tom sounded so bad, I'm sure it sucked the energy from his playing.Rodge wrote:Peter is Peter, legend, but that drums sounds crappy to me, nothing new with DW.
